Die Casting and mould for gravity casting

The copper alloy die-casting pistons have now replaced the traditional steel ones, as they have a high thermal conductivity while retaining good mechanical characteristics.

Production

The hot deformation also allows to obtain a very refined structure that delays deterioration and premature wear. The alloys used in this sector are CuCoNiBe and CuNiSiCr, and the parts obtained from the forging of certified billets.

Our alloys are also used in the production of casting moulds for taps and valves.

In many applications, gravity cast copper alloy dies have replaced traditional steel dies; its peculiarity is the sum, in a single product, of characteristics normally present in different products:

High mechanical characteristics: hardness and tensile strenght

High thermal conductivity, good corrosion resistance, ability to counter the aggressive attack of brass, faster casting cycles, high performance, longer life, and better surface quality of the product.
